Coucy-le-Château is a commune located in the Aisne department in the Hauts-de-France region in northern France. The town is known for its medieval castle known as Château de Coucy. The castle dates back to the 13th century and was once the largest fortress in Europe. The town was heavily damaged during World War I, but the castle remained mostly intact. Today, visitors can tour the castle and see its various features, including its impressive keep and the remnants of its walls and towers.
